Medication Management

At the Pain Clinic of Monterey Bay we offer a medication consult service for primary care physicians with the anticipation that once the patient is stable the primary care physician will resume medication management. Specific assistance is provided to help with compounded medications. Medication management with controlled substances for non cancer pain is preceded by a comprehensive pain evaluation including a psychological evaluation. For patients with active addiction problems we refer to addiction specialist.
